Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below we explain which data we process and what rights you have.

What data we process

Application for a room or apartment. When you apply via the form, we process the data you provide: first and last name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, nationality, marital status, address, type of employment, employer, income, desired move-in date, desired room or apartment, details on deposit and furnishing, any additional persons, comments and the declarations you confirm. The purpose is to review and process your application, to conclude the tenancy agreement and to contact you, including by email and WhatsApp.

Documents after signing. After signing the contract we ask you to upload a copy of your passport or ID card via a personal link. If you rent a whole apartment, or if you chose a reduced deposit for a room, we also ask for a current extract from the debt collection register. We use these documents only to check your application before confirming the contract. They are stored in a protected storage area that only D&T Homes can access.

Booking a furnished stay. When you book a furnished apartment, directly or via a booking platform such as Airbnb or Booking.com, we process the data required for the booking: name, contact details, payment information and details of your stay such as arrival, departure and number of guests. The purpose is to process your booking, to communicate with you during your stay and to comply with legal registration obligations.

Parking space request. When you request a parking space, we process your name, email, phone, your home address, the requested address and type of parking space, your licence plate, the desired start date and your comment. The purpose is to process your request and, where applicable, to conclude a rental agreement for the parking space.

Cleaning or moving request. When you request a cleaning or a move, we process your name, email, phone, the address concerned (for a move, the current and the new address), size of the apartment, preferred date, whether you live with us, and your comment. The purpose is to prepare a quote and carry out the job.

Contact form. When you send an enquiry via the contact form, we process your name, email address and message in order to answer your enquiry.

Tenant portal. As a tenant you can log in to the tenant portal with a code we send you by email or, if you set it up, with Face ID or fingerprint (passkey). We store a device session and the public part of your passkey; biometric data stays on your device. In the portal we show you your contract details, documents and handover reports. We process what you enter in the portal in order to handle your request: damage reports with description and photos, details in the handover report including photos and key information, notices of termination, requests for cleaning or moving, and applications received via your personal successor link. Access to the portal ends three months after you move out.

Forwarding of damage reports. So that damage can be repaired, we forward your damage report to the responsible property management or a tradesperson. We only pass on your name, phone number and email address if you agreed to this when submitting the report, so that they can arrange an appointment with you directly.

Technical data. When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access) in order to deliver the page and ensure its operation.

Processors and integrated services

We use carefully selected service providers to operate the website and process your enquiries:

• Vercel (website hosting).
• Supabase (storage of data in our management system).
• Google Maps (embedded maps for rooms and apartments; data is transmitted to Google when the map loads).
• Vercel Web Analytics (anonymous visitor statistics without cookies; no personal profiles are created).
• wsrv.nl (image proxy for delivering optimised images).
• Elev8 (booking of furnished apartments).
• Resend and Microsoft 365 (sending emails, for example login codes and confirmations).

These providers process data on our behalf or in accordance with their own privacy policies. Processing abroad cannot be ruled out.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not pass your data on to uninvolved third parties. Data is only disclosed where necessary to carry out a tenancy (for example to the deposit platform Evorest), to process a booking (for example to payment providers), to carry out a requested job (for example to a commissioned cleaning or moving company) or where we are legally obliged to do so, for instance under registration obligations. We do not sell your data.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. Access is limited to authorised persons who need the data for their work.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies. For visitor statistics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and only provides aggregated, anonymous figures. Only your language choice is stored locally in your browser.

Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by law. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you, to have it corrected or deleted and to object to certain processing. Please contact info@dthomes.ch.

Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The current version published on this website applies.
